Families in Recovery Program (FIRP)
FIRP, a short to long-term inpatient program in Norwalk for pregnant and parenting women, has been in existence since 1994 and is unique in our region. Liberation is the only organization offering in-patient treatment for pregnant and parenting women in Fairfield County and the only one in Connecticut where mothers can bring two children up to the age of 10 into the program with them. We help mothers overcome their substance abuse problems and acquire the skills and resources they need to provide safe, nurturing homes for their children, helping to break what is often a multi-generational cycle of poverty and addiction.
Liberation House
Liberation House, located in Stamford, provides an inpatient treatment program for men with a capacity to serve 65 individuals at a time. Duration of treatment can be up to 90 days. During this time men focus on skills that will help them maintain their recovery as well as work on critical needs such as transitioning to employment and housing. A Recovery Employment Program gives the men the opportunity to gain important work experience that will help them transition to employment as well as funds that can be used to secure housing once they leave the program.
